Kennisha A. Austin
Associate
Kennisha Austin joined the firm in 2006. She previously clerked for the Honorable Damon J. Keith on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. During law school, Ms. Austin was the special features editor for the National Black Law Journal and won best brief in the northeast regional Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition. Ms. Austin spent her law school summers as a human rights intern at the South African Human Rights Commission in Cape Town, South Africa and the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Ms. Austin also worked throughout law school at a variety of civil rights organizations, including the Civil Rights Bureau of the New York State Attorney General’s Office, New York Lawyers for the Public Interest, and Cochran Neufeld & Scheck LLP.
